Test results are available only to the submitting clinic. Results may only be forwarded to a third party with the consent of the submitting clinic. Veterinary Emergency Clinics are exempted from this rule. VITA-TECH does not disclose test results to owners without the Veterinarian's prior authorization. Owners are referred to their Veterinarian for results and interpretation. VITA-TECH offers complete flexibility for receiving results. We offer result access via:
Fax
VITA-TECH's sophisticated report distribution fax software uses multiple fax
modems to deliver reports to our clients. All fax attempts, successful and unsuccessful, are electronically logged in our transaction files.
E-mail
VITA-TECH can provide results for all routine tests via e-mail. Results are provided
in non-editable Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format.
Internet Web browser
Clinics with an active account at VITA-TECH can register for on-line access here.

Clinic Software (Direct download to select clinic software)
Vetware for WindowsTM, by Computrust®, provides electronic requisition form preparation and automated retrieval of VITA-TECH laboratory results directly into the Vetware clinic management software. For clients who do not own Vetware, these capabilities are also offered in Vetware-Lite which is available free of charge directly from Computrust® .

Professional Consultation
VITA-TECH provides professional consultations to our clients. To help you, our veterinary clients, our team of in-house pathologists is available with assistance in the interpretation of reports and test results, as well as advice regarding test selection.
Consultations are available in areas such as: Microbiology, Parasitology, and Molecular Biology (DNA). Technical assistance is also available from our laboratory supervisors. To request a consult, press "1" when you call into 1-800-667-3411. One of our consultants will return your call ASAP (generally the same day - Monday to Friday). Please note that because of the difficulty in verifying the accuracy of results generated from in-clinic analyzers, our pathologists cannot provide comment on results from these units. The Pathologists will consider the data when providing advice on further test selection. |
